Beautiful wedding of couple from Japan
From Japan to the shores of Montenegro, this lovely couple brought their wedding story to the Budva Riviera. Their day began with a ceremony at Dukley Beach, continued with a wedding photoshoot in Budva Old Town, and ended among the greenery of Miločer Park near Sveti Stefan. Three settings, each with its own atmosphere, became part of one beautiful collection of memories.
As their wedding photographer in Budva, I had the pleasure of capturing both the occasion and the quieter moments between them: an embrace beside the sea, a playful turn in a stone square, and a little time together beneath the trees.
A seaside wedding at Dukley Beach
Dukley Beach gave their ceremony an open, light-filled setting beside the Adriatic. A circular arch decorated with greenery and pale flowers framed the couple, with the water and coastline stretching behind them. The bride wore a white wedding gown and veil, carrying a bouquet of soft yellow and white flowers, while the groom wore a dark blue suit.
The photographs move from the intimacy of the ceremony to joyful portraits on the beach. A kiss beneath the floral arch, the groom lifting his bride beside the water, and the two walking towards the jetty tell different parts of the same story. Alongside the wider coastal views, these small gestures give the wedding gallery its warmth.
For this Dukley Beach wedding, I wanted the surroundings to remain part of the photographs while keeping the couple at the heart of every frame. The sea, flowers and sunlight provide the setting; their connection gives the images meaning.
Wedding portraits in Budva Old Town
After the ceremony, we continued our photosession in Budva Old Town. The change of scenery brought a different rhythm to the day: narrow stone streets, shuttered windows, old doorways and little squares offered a more intimate backdrop after the open beach.
The bride changed into a flowing rust-coloured dress that stood out beautifully against the pale stone and green palms. Her bouquet connected the two parts of the session, while the new dress gave the portraits a relaxed, elegant feel. Together, we created a mixture of close portraits, walking photographs and playful moments beneath the Old Town’s lamps and beside its stone steps.
One of my favourite qualities of wedding photography in Budva Old Town is the variety within a short walk. An ivy-covered wall creates a quiet corner for a portrait, while a square with a bell tower allows room for movement. In this gallery, you can see the couple turning towards each other, sharing an embrace and enjoying the setting together. Those changes in pace make the story feel personal.
A romantic finish in Miločer Park near Sveti Stefan
We finished the photoshoot in Miločer Park, near Sveti Stefan. Here, the photographs take on a softer, more spacious feel, with wooded paths, deep green foliage and glimpses of the Adriatic through the trees.
The gallery includes portraits around a stone bridge, a close view of the bridal bouquet, and coastal scenes with Sveti Stefan in the background. The bride’s warm-toned dress brought a beautiful contrast to the blue water and shaded greenery. Some frames place the couple within the wider landscape; others draw closer to a touch, a smile or an embrace.
After the beach ceremony and the textured streets of Budva, Miločer offered a lovely final chapter. It gave us room to slow down and create portraits that combined the couple’s closeness with the scenery of the Montenegro coast.
Your wedding story on the Budva Riviera
This wedding brought together three distinctive locations: Dukley Beach for the ceremony, Budva Old Town for portraits full of character, and Miločer Park near Sveti Stefan for a romantic coastal finish. More than a collection of beautiful backgrounds, the photographs follow the couple through the changing mood of their day.
It was a pleasure to photograph this lovely couple from Japan and preserve their wedding memories in Montenegro. Thank you for trusting me with such a meaningful part of your story.
